RICHARDS COMPARES TRENT TO ALVES

Ex-Premier League defender Micah Richards has compared the qualities of Liverpool player Trent Alexandre-Arnold to that of Sao Paulo player Dani Alves. Dani Alves is widely regarded as the best right-back of his generation and Richards believes that Trent has similar qualities with the Brazilian.
Richards played for Manchester City and Aston Villa in the Premier League before he retired as a professional footballer. The ex-England international is now a football pundit. He talked about Dani Alves and Trent while he was on Sky Sports earlier this month.

Ex-Fiorentina and Villa player Richards spoke in glowing terms about Trent shortly after his performance against Arsenal in the first week of this month. According to him, the focus should be on his attacking performance rather than his defensive performance.

Trent is in the spotlight after he was left out of the England squad for the last international break . The Liverpool right-back was left out by manager Gareth Southgate who opted for Manchester City player Kyle Walker, Chelsea star Reece James and Atletico Madrid player Kieran Trippier in that position.

Southgate pointed out that poor club form was the reason behind the player's exclusion from the latest England squad which would be the last one named before preparation for the this summer's European Championships starts.

Richards was on Sky Sports to talk about Trent and his performance in the first game after he was snubbed by Southgate. He talked about Trent in the aftermath of his impressive performance against Arsenal in the league.
According to him, Trent won't be like Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissakawho's a good one-on-one right-back and that the focus should be on his attacking qualities.

Trent has showed those attacking qualities in the last two league games against Arsenal and Aston Villa. He has a return of one goal and one assist from the two matches.
