ALVES RUES LACK OF BALANCE

Barcelona's Brazilian defender Dani Alves has said that there have been times this season when Barcelona have been lacking balance in the team, which has contributed to the 'not so great' performances in the domestic campaign so far.

As a result of it, Barcelona find themselves seven points behind leaders Real Madrid. It is often spoken that even a few point advantage in the Spanish league makes a huge difference because of the lack of competition provided by the teams other than Real Madrid and Barcelona in the division, so the seven-point advantage feels huge at the moment.

In order to avoid repetition, Barcelona coach Guardiola has changed the formation and tactics quite often the season. Dani Alves is of the opinion that it has resulted in a situation where the team does not have the right balance.

ALVES REJECTS MOURINHO SLUR

Barcelona’s victory of the Club World Cup created quite a stir of excitement among the Barcelona players and fans who were elated at the victory.

However, as always there have always been the peers trying to look for faults and find means to put the winning team down in shame. The same happened a few weeks back when Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho made critial comments about Barcelona.

However there was no stopping Dani Alves from proclaiming that Barcelona was one of the best teams of the world despite the criticism from other peer teams.

Dani Alves has been extremely happy because he put up an excellent performance which finally led to his team achieving the victory title for the cup defeating Santos in the final with a 4-0 score, with odds at close to evens to win, it was possibly the best football bet of the season. This has been their 13th trophy with coach Pep Guardiola.

ALVES SAYS JOSE IS JUST JEALOUS

Barcelona defender Dani Alves has said that José Mourinho is extremely jealous of the fact that Barcelona continue to win a number of trophies.

José Mourinho recently came out with the statement that criticised the fact that Barcelona had won the Club World Cup for the second time in three seasons. The Club World Cup is played between the winners of the Champions League equivalent from across the world and the winners of the Champions League. Barcelona faced Santos in the final and won comfortably 4-0 through goals from Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas, and Xavi.

ALVES DOUBTS REAL TITLE CHARGE

Barcelona defender Dani Alves has said that the six-point advantage is that it Real Madrid are currently enjoy at the top of the la Liga table is not as significant as many people look at it.

Real Madrid had the opportunity to extend the lead to 6 points after Barcelona lost their match against Getafe. Madrid took the opportunity brilliantly with a 4-1 win over Atletico Madrid. As a result, many people feel that the balance of power has finally changed in Spain. Barcelona have been winning the title in each of the last three seasons, and it seems that they have finally lost the desire to win the title again.

DANI SAYS RELAX

Dani Alves is used to all the endless speculation and talk about Barcelona, not least because they are one of the most famous clubs in the world, but he has recently become irriatated by all the nonsense saying that Barca are a spent force.

After a few poor results, most notably a 0-0 draw with Real Sociedad, Barcelona are second in the Primera Liga table, but remain just one point behind Real Madrid. In spite of this, the press are always screaming 'crisis'.

CHELSEA INTERESTED IN ALVES

Chelsea are reportedly targeting Dani Alves to become their first signing for the new manager. Villas-Boas was confirmed as Chelsea's new manager on Wednesday, signing a three-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

The Portuguese coach has already been linked with a number of top players, including Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o and Santos forward Neymar. Alves is odds on to go to Chelsea according to freebetsnow.co.uk - the free bets specialists.

ALVES FOCUSSING ON SHAKHTAR DONETSK

Barcelona defender Dani Alves has said that he is only concentrating on winning the Champions League quarter-final second-leg against Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Catalan giants 6-1 aggregate win ensured the club a place in the semi-finals of Europe's elite competition where they are likely to meet rivals Real Madrid.

"We knew that the only way to get through was to focus on tonight's game and not the result at Camp Nou," Alves told the press after the match.

ALVES WANTS BARCELONA STAY

Barcelona full-back Dani Alves has said that he wants to stay with the Catalan club even though he has not signed a new contract.

Alves' current deal at Barca runs out at the end of next season and talks are ongoing to extend the Brazil defender's time in Catalonia.

But weeks on from the initial conversations, an agreement still appears no closer.

In the meantime, Alves has been linked with a big-money summer move to Manchester City, but the former Sevilla star says he cannot imagine playing for any other club than Barca.

ALVES HAPPY WITH NEW DEAL

Barcelona's offer of a new deal has made Dani Alves happy according to the Brazilian. The right-back met with club president Sandro Rosell last week to discuss the finer points of the new contract set to be offered to Alves.

Rosell said that the Catalan club were ready to meet all the requirements of their player, but he wanted to strike out more mutually acceptable terms before proceeding with the signatures.
