Barcelona secured yet another trophy in 2015, but this will not be the end of their hunt for more titles according to defender Dani Alves.

The Brazilian came very close to leaving the club in the summer after being out of contract. However, manager Luis Enrique persuaded the player to stay in the Camp Nou. It was important for both parties since Alves was running out of options while Barcelona were also unable to sign new players – to replace him – because of the transfer embargo.Alves’ may be living on borrowed time at the club, but he made the most out of it by adding another Club World Cup title to his name.

The Catalan club managed to convincingly lift the title by beating River Plate 3-0 in the final. The South American team were seen as the , who have been dominating every competition they have entered in the last few months.Alves claimed that it is a very special feeling to be part of a group that wins so many trophies but also with style. The Barcelona team of the last decade will easily go down into history as one of the best teams ever.Alves says that it is a proud feeling to be part of it.

"Being part of this group is very special, no doubt. When you stop and remember where you came from and all you had to work and overcome to be here playing with these incredible teammates, top players, makes you really believe that dreaming is possible and that people should never give up when they want something. No matter how difficult it is, if you work, if you have the humility to know where you are, what you want and the place you want to reach, there's no doubt you'll end up getting it,” said Alves.
