IBRA IS MAIN THREAT

The right back of Barcelona, Daniel Alves, has said that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a massive threat for his team in the upcoming quarter final clash against Paris Saint-Germain.

The first leg will be played at Parc Des Princes on 2nd of April, while, the return leg will take place at Camp Nou a week later.

Ibrahimovic was banned for a couple of Champions League games after challenging one of the opponent players in the injury time of the match against Valencia. So, he was expected to sit on the bench in the first leg match against Barcelona. But, the Swedish striker appealed against the ban and the appeal was successful. Now, Ibrahimovic is eligible to take part in the quarterfinal, first leg match.

Taking to the reporters about the upcoming couple of matches against PSG, Alves said, “Ibrahimovic is going to be a big threat. He is a high class footballer. On his day, he can be devastating.”

“If we have to stop him from scoring goals, we will have to play at our best. He can find the net at any point of time. So, we will have to be on our toes.”

When asked about Lionel Messi who has again looked unstoppable in the last 4 games, Alves said, “I don’t think he had lost form. It’s just that he didn’t have the same kind of spark in a couple of games towards the end of last month. But, he is back to his best again and it’s great news for our camp.”

Messi hadn’t contributed much in the two big games against AC Milan and the arch rivals Real Madrid last month. Barca had lost both those games. However, they came back and defeated Milan by a big margin of 4-0 in the return leg to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
