Daniel Alves confirms his transfer to Juventus

After having performed with Barcelona for 8 years, the Brazilian defender Daniel Alves has confirmed his move to the Italian side Juventus as he will be performing with the Serie A outside starting from the 2016-17 season.

FC Barcelona confirmed through their twitter account that the transfer was indeed made and the Spanish club thanked Daniel Alves for everything that he has done in Camp Nou.

The official twitter account of Barcelona released a statement which reads: FC Barcelona says: ‘’thank you to DaniAlvesD2 after 8 seasons and 23 trophies’’ DaniAlvesD2 is the twitter account of the Brazilian defender.

Juventus is dominating the top tier Italian League, Serie A as they have been winning the league for the past 5 seasons.

The experienced defender voiced his joy in signing a deal with Juventus as he said: "I am always happy, but I am even happier now. I am very happy to join Juventus. I want to win in Europe and in Italy. I have won a lot of trophies with Barcelona, but the time has come to enjoy Italy and to try to bring Juventus back to the European top."

Daniel Alves did say that he will make a return to Barcelona someday as he still is and will continue to be a fan of the Spanish club even after having left and joined a different team.
At the age of 33, Daniel Alves opted to make a move to a league that is not considered to be as physical or explosive in comparison to La Liga. The Italian League is generally regarded as a league that requires more tactical capabilities than anything else.

One of the reasons of why Alves stated that he decided to leave Barcelona is to meet new challenges and overcome them, this is what he is hoping to accomplish with Juventus.
