ALVES SAYS JOSE IS JUST JEALOUS

Barcelona defender Dani Alves has said that José Mourinho is extremely jealous of the fact that Barcelona continue to win a number of trophies.

José Mourinho recently came out with the statement that criticised the fact that Barcelona had won the Club World Cup for the second time in three seasons. The Club World Cup is played between the winners of the Champions League equivalent from across the world and the winners of the Champions League. Barcelona faced Santos in the final and won comfortably 4-0 through goals from Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas, and Xavi.

Even though the Club World Cup is regarded as one of the best tournaments by the clubs coming from other parts of the world, it is not held in great regard by the European clubs. As a result, José Mourinho came out with the statement that he would prefer winning the Champions League proper over the Club World Cup. It was not long ago that José Mourinho lifted the Champions League with Inter Milan and also the Club World Cup, which followed it. Now, the statement from the Real Madrid manager has caused some discontent from the Brazilian right back Dani Alves. He has said that José Mourinho is extremely jealous of the fact that Barcelona have won the trophy and is looking to detract attention from the fact that his side has just lost the crucial match between Barcelona 3-1.

"I always say that Mourinho is a person who plays his role and always underestimates what others accomplish. It seems that value is when you earn it. Jealousy is very bad. But they are continually discrediting what we do. There's always a but, a why, that's all. I do not understand. But I understand that this war is lost, the field is where we try to look good," Alves said.
