ALVES RUES LACK OF BALANCE

Barcelona's Brazilian defender Dani Alves has said that there have been times this season when Barcelona have been lacking balance in the team, which has contributed to the 'not so great' performances in the domestic campaign so far.

As a result of it, Barcelona find themselves seven points behind leaders Real Madrid. It is often spoken that even a few point advantage in the Spanish league makes a huge difference because of the lack of competition provided by the teams other than Real Madrid and Barcelona in the division, so the seven-point advantage feels huge at the moment.

In order to avoid repetition, Barcelona coach Guardiola has changed the formation and tactics quite often the season. Dani Alves is of the opinion that it has resulted in a situation where the team does not have the right balance.

Alves came out with this statement after the draw with Villarreal, which along with Real Madrid's three points puts Barcelona further back in the race for the title. Even though Dani Alves admitted that it would be difficult to see Barcelona winning the title from this position, he also said that Barcelona will not be giving up until it is mathematically impossible to win the title. Real Madrid are firm favourites on the online betting markets.

"We have not scored, but we played a great match. However, no goals mean we cannot win. We're not getting the balance of last year, winning points away from home is becoming more difficult. It is an advantage for Real but I have seen more difficult scenarios, so we must carry on," said Alves after the match.

Dani Alves has often been responsible for getting Barcelona out of the tricky situations in the past, but the formation changes has meant that he is less influential in the final few minutes of matches.
